2016 marks the 7th year the NYSYLC Awards Program will provide monetary support to youth, regardless of their immigration status, who aspire to continue their higher education, being active in the immigrant rights movement and wish to continue their commitment in the coming years. Priority will be given to students with limited or no means to obtain financial aid for college. Awardees will be selected based on community involvement, financial need and commitment to the immigrant rights movement. A small emphasis will be placed on academic achievement.
