Rally & March To Save A Life

Julio is at risk of deportation

Julio, a Bronx Community College student, came to the United States in 2007, fleeing threats on his life from gang members. Julio is a bright, hard-working college student who has aspirations to contribute and serve his community as a radiologist. He wants to be a role model to younger kids. His life is in your hands because he faces an imminent deportation order after being detained in Greyhound bus.
He is set to be deported back to El Salvador where he faces gang violence due to his sexual orientation.

Here are two things you can do to help:
1. Please take action and do what Congress have failed to do:  protect the rights and life of undocumented youth by signing and sharing this petition.

2. Join us! We are headed to the Bronx to rally in front of Julio’s school on Tuesday, July 26th at 12:30pm! Join the movement!!

TAKE ACTION: KEEP CALLING & MARCH FOR DREAM!

Yesterday, Thursday September 16th Dream activitsts and allies all over the country flooded Senate offices with calls in support of the Dream Act. A total of 10,264 calls were made, 997 of them from NY! We need to continue calling so that our Senators all over the country know that they need to VOTE ‘YES’ ON THE DREAM ACT attached as an amendment to the Defense Authorization Bill next week.

Here in NY, we need to continue pressuring SEN. CHARLES SCHUMER AND REP. NYDIA VELAZQUEZ, who have yet to shown leadership and step up for the Dream Act. While the CHC came out in support of the Dream Act this week, REP. VELAZQUEZ still has not cosponsored the Dream Act. This is why we’re rallying and showing our power next Tuesday, Sept. 21st to SEN. SCHUMER’S OFFICE. Spread the word & see you there!
